A wonderful daytrip visiting Amazing frescoes at Santuario de Atotonilco, "Mexican Sistine Chapel" as Priest Fernando Manriquez would say. Started to build on 1740 and painted by Miguel Antonio Martinez de Pocasangre for more of 30yrs, this place was built to be a spiritually center, prayer and penance. 

Also Part of Mexican independence in 1810 holding an Image from "Virgen de Guadalupe" having this as a Banner.

Full of local Artisans and delicious traditional Gorditas, Quesadillas, Cafe de Olla (Mexican traditional cofee, a mix of Anis, Clay and piloncillo), Enchiladas, Menudo and more.

Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores full Baroque Churrigueresco Style facade. Gold leaf Altarpieces and start to build 1712.

Independence museum where we will find Objects and documents related to Independence movement.

Visiting Tile workshop whatching local artisand paint and put into the oven the amazing new tile.
